How Often Should You Exfoliate When the Weather Turns Cool?

Release Date: 2026-10-10  Views: 2311

As temperatures drop and indoor heating takes over, skin loses moisture faster and starts to flake. The common reaction is to exfoliate more often, but scrubbing harder usually damages the skin barrier and leaves it more sensitive to cold air.

For most skin types, once or twice a week is enough in the cooler months. Keep showers short and lukewarm rather than hot, and apply moisturizer while the skin is still slightly damp. Dry or sensitive skin often does better with a single gentle session per week.

The tool matters as much as the schedule. A TPU honeycomb bathing glove lifts dead skin under light pressure and rinses clean in seconds, so it does not stay damp the way woven nylon or cotton mitts do. A back scrubber strap with handles at both ends solves the area that is hardest to reach.

Check the honeycomb surface regularly and replace the glove every two to three months, or sooner once the texture looks flattened. Let it air-dry away from the shower spray and it will keep its shape and stay fresh for longer.

Shenzhen Chenghao produces honeycomb bathing gloves, back scrubber straps and related items in several grades, listed on our products page. If you are planning stock for the cold season or need a custom specification, send your target market and quantity to jack@bathingglove.com and we will arrange samples.
