Nylon vs TPU Honeycomb Back Scrubber Straps: Which Material Wins?

Release Date: 2026-09-18  Views: 712

Back scrubber straps look simple, yet the material decides whether they feel refreshing or scratchy. Here is a quick comparison before you choose.

Nylon straps have been the market standard for years. They lather well and cost little, but the weave holds water for hours, which encourages bacterial growth if the strap is left in a humid shower. Most nylon straps also lose their texture after roughly a month of daily use.

TPU honeycomb straps solve both problems. The open cell structure lets air circulate, so the strap dries within an hour and stays odour free. The material is elastic enough to stretch across the whole back, and laboratory washing tests show the honeycomb keeps its shape after more than fifty cycles. TPU is also recyclable and OEKO-TEX certified, an advantage when exporting to Europe.

Texture should match the user. A fine honeycomb suits daily cleansing and sensitive skin; a coarser weave is better for feet and for removing heavy sunscreen. Buyers who serve hotels usually choose the medium texture, because it performs well for most guests.

Care is simple: rinse after use, hang to dry, and machine wash weekly at 40°C. Replace the strap every two months in household use, or every month in high-traffic gyms and spas.

Chenghao produces back scrubber straps in custom lengths, colours and textures, with OEM logos and retail packaging. See the back scrubber range or write to jack@bathingglove.com for a quotation.
